April 6, HealthFinders' dental team set up shop at Northfield's Greenvale Park Elementary School to provide an all-day dental clinic for 75 kids. Renae Blome, Dental Clinic Coordinator & Dental Hygienist, Jenny Berge, Advanced Dental Therapist, and Fausto Rodela, Dental Program Assistant, worked as a team, looking for decay, brushing and flossing the kids' teeth, and placing fluoride to help prevent cavities. They noted that in-school clinics like this are important, making it easier for children to access dental care. In addition to providing cleanings, they sent kids home with information for their parents about any further necessary care, dental hygiene, and how to make an appointment with HFC. Renae commented, "We were delighted to see the low incidence of cavities for these children. Only one patient had an urgency to seek dental care." HealthFinders staff had a fun day seeing kids from kindergarten to 5th grade and helping them improve their oral health. Â Thank you to Greenvale Park Elementary School for hosting the clinic!
