Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Juanita Picazo!

Meet Juanita Picazo, a volunteer interpreter at HealthFinders. Juanita works as a preschool teacher during the year, but she always finds time to help out at HFC. Despite never having worked in public health before, Juanita has found a passion for women’s health issues. She loves being there for women who need her the most and helping them access healthcare in any way she can. Juanita also enjoys the welcoming nature of HFC, noting how patients feel loved and cared for every time they receive services. She also thinks our team of staff members, interns, and volunteers are great. At our annual gala, Juanita realized just how impactful HFC is to our patients and the community. She was so excited to see how many people came out to support HFC, and how many community members care about local public health issues. Even though Juanita doesn’t work full time as an interpreter, she’s so happy to be a part of something that is incredibly influential and accessible to the community. Thank you, Juanita, for all you do to support HealthFinders!
