Standing Together in Strength HealthFinders Collaborative (HFC) would like to extend a word of thanks to the greater community for standing together in strength. We may be in the middle of a healthcare crisis, but it hasn’t stopped people in our community from being kind and generous – bringing out everyone’s collective best.

  1. When HealthFinders made the – at the time – difficult decision to cancel our live spring gala event, not ONE ticket holder or sponsor accepted the refund we offered. More so, many donors sent additional donations for what they intended to spend at the gala. To each and every one of you, thank you! Thanks, also, to everyone who donated live and silent auction items for the gala and who helped package and prepare items. They will not go to waste, as we plan to have a virtual gala in the future.

  2. HealthFinders put out a call for hand-made masks for our patients. By the next day, we had 82 masks and another 50 arrived the following Monday. Plus, they continue to arrive as needed. Thank you to all the sewers in our community who are sharing their skills by making and donating masks to local hospitals, clinics, and non-profits. Community members have also donated N-95 masks to HealthFinders. Thank you for being concerned for the safety of our staff and patients.

  3. When hand sanitizer became scare, local distilleries and an animal pharmaceutical company got creative by making hand sanitizer and donating it to local organizations in need. Thank you, local businesses, for caring enough to take action.

  4. A local Faribault church recently sent over lunch to HealthFinders as a show of appreciation for our services to the community. Thank you, friends, for thinking of our staff.

  5. Some funders proactively sent unrestricted grants to help HealthFinders stay strong during the pandemic. Thank you for your faith in our organization.

Getting Through This Together Countless other community members are doing their part to lessen the damage of this healthcare crisis. Whether it’s …

  1. Community members staying at home to slow the spread and practicing social distancing when out in public;

  2. Healthcare professionals taking care of patients in spite of personal risk;

  3. Grocers and food producers sustaining the supply of food and necessities;

  4. Employers doing everything possible to mitigate negative impact to their employees;

  5. Diners supporting local restaurants offering carry-out;

  6. Emergency and other essential workers performing their jobs; or

  7. Friends and families finding creative ways to stay connected or caring for loved ones while maintaining social distance

What you are doing matters! You are ALL community heroes. Thank you for doing your part to make this situation better. Together, we will get through this.
