Volunteers
from the Medical and Social Work Professions
All
of the medical care at the HealthFinders clinic is provided by licensed
medical professionals – physicians and nurses. At present
two physicians act as co-medical directors for the clinic. The clinic
is staffed by the following volunteers each night of service: one
medical provider, one nurse, one interpreter and one receptionist.
HealthFinders provides orientation for all clinic volunteer positions.
Social
workers also provide volunteer services for clinic patients, as
needed.
Currently we are seeking volunteers for all positions. Please contact Charlie Mandile for more information at (507) 646-8964 or email at mandile.charlie@healthfindersmn.org
Other Volunteers
Student
volunteers from St. Olaf College’s nursing program help design
educational programs. Community members from Faribault and Northfield,
as well as students from both St. Olaf and Carleton Colleges, volunteer
for fundraising activities and clinic operations. As the various HealthFinders programs
grow, additional opportunities for community volunteers are continually
identified and in demand.
Referral Resources
HealthFinders
draws upon an active network of referral resources, including county
officials, social service agencies, community action groups, churches
and schools.
