HealthFinders Pura Vida Program

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Pura Vida Program was initiated in June of 2006 providing the necessary tools needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle focused on the importance of exercise and nutrition. Participants will receive the necessary tools for successful weight management and nutritional guidance for a period of six months. This program is designed for participants to implement their experience with Pura Vida during their day-to-day activities. Most importantly, Pura Vida will provide building blocks for future generations to understand the importance of daily exercise and healthy foods.

The program is comprosed of two components:

1. Excerise Component

    Patient is responsible to:

    • Attend monthly educational classes.
    • Meet and join with other participants to walk together.
    • Join a gym, aerobics class or create your own exercise routine.
    • Attend a weekly aerobic class provided by HealthFinders
    • To log daily steps from your pedometer.

Patients will receive the necessary tools for implementing a daily exercise routine with hopes of sustainability. We highly encourage patients to involve their families in any activities provided by HealthFinders.

    2. Nutrition Component

      Patient is responsible to:

      • Attend monthly educational classes.
      • Log daily food intake and amounts.
